The French believe that kids should have a mid-week break from school. I think they're secretly hoping the custom will extend to adults as well one day. Wednesdays are therefore known for special kid shows, workshops, as well as crowded parks and carousels. I'm sure tourists wonder where all the masses of French screaming kids are doing at the park so early in the day.
The shown footage was taken by Sorbonne and at Jardin du Luxembourg. The toy store Jouets Bass at 229 rue St. Jacques has a great selection of high quality toys, including little sailing boats that can be used at the Jardin du Luxembourg's pond.
Apparently way back before the war the carousel owner used to give a special prize to the child that got the most rings. Now it's no longer the case. Although Rio once got some candy from him, as she spent half of the ride crying on her horse because she couldn't get all the rings that she wanted.

Kochana Maia, what a powerful combination skilfully paired with the great music and my two favorite objects Rio and Ila. I really enjoyed watching it. mama
