Rainy mini break in Provence

Rain forecast definitely makes making reservations much easier!
Our three city weekend tour included Avignon, Nimes, and Arles. We also made quick stops at Les Baux and Gordes (which highly deserves its reputation as one of the most beautiful villages in France). We did attempt to see the Camargue (who could resist the promise of flamingo dotted marshes, white horses and salt quaries), but made a quick escape due to the pouring rain and hordes of motorhomes.

Rio enjoying a break from touring Avignon at the local bakery. This is the morning after midnight dancing in front of the Palais des Papes.

Kai and Rio in front of our very charming hotel, Nord Pinus, where we got a double upgrade and ended up with a balcony suite overlooking the square. Made the rainiest day actually pleasant. The yellow building, Cafe La Nuit, was made famous by Van Gogh, as in here:

Rio ended up getting a Van Gogh coloring book and is promptly reinterpreting all colors as we speak. Apparently Van Gogh was using too much black and that's "not pretty".

This is a beautiful picture of a loving father with his loving daughter, they really complement each other. Ewa
